Dato’ Fredrick is a seasoned legal professional with a diverse background spanning both public and private sectors. With a strong foundation as a judicial officer in the Judicial and Legal Services of Malaysia, he began his career and quickly excelled in various roles, including serving as a Magistrate and later as a Deputy Public Prosecutor. His expertise led him to assume the position of Head of Prosecution Unit in Malacca until August 1991.

In September 1991, Dato’ Fredrick transitioned into private legal practice, becoming an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Additionally, he made a notable contribution to the legal system as a Chairman of the Industrial Court of Malaysia and then as a High Court Judge in the civil division in the Republic of Fiji. Later on in November 2019, Dato’ Fredrick assumed the role of Judicial Commissioner at the High Court of Malaya at Johor Bahru, where he served and retired on 27.11.2021.

Currently, Dato’ Fredrick lends his vast expertise as a Consultant with LAW's Employment and Industrial Relations practice group. With a rich and multifaceted background in the legal profession, Dato’ Fredrick brings an unparalleled level of experience and expertise to the firm.

Notable Work Highlights
Delivered numerous papers on various Industrial Law topics as Chairman of the Industrial Court of Malaysia at local and international Symposiums and Conferences.
Issued over 1000 written Awards as Chairman of the Industrial Court of Malaysia, many of which have been published in the Industrial Law Reports (ILR), Industrial Law Journal (ILJ), and the Malaysian Employment Law Reports (MELR).
Rendered judgments as Judicial Commissioner of the High Court of Malaya.
Served as an Industrial Court Chairman at Courts No. 23, 10, 18 and 22 of the Industrial Court of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Penang.
Appointed as Judicial Commissioner of the High Court of Malaya in Johor Bahru, serving as a Civil Judge in Civil Court No. 2 and a Criminal Judge for capital offenses in Criminal Court No. 3.
