KUALA LUMPUR, 29 SEPTEMBER 2024 – LAW Partnership is excited to announce the expansion of its Dispute Resolution practice with the arrival of Partner Shaun Tan and Associate Rachel Tan. Shaun and Rachel bring extensive expertise in construction law and alternative dispute resolution (ADR), including arbitration, adjudication, and mediation.
Shaun specialises in construction disputes, resolving them through court proceedings, statutory adjudication under the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012, mediation, and arbitration. His portfolio spans major infrastructure projects, utilities, refineries, power plants, and motorways. He also handles complex commercial dispute matters across telecommunications, real estate, engineering, architecture, design, and quantity surveying.
Shaun is also a respected arbitrator, adjudicator, and mediator with the Asian International Arbitration Centre, serves as an arbitrator at the Thailand Arbitration Center, and is a Fellow of multiple prestigious arbitration institutes.
Rachel focuses on construction disputes and arbitration. She appears regularly as a co-counsel in Malaysian Courts, mediation and arbitration proceedings. Her portfolio includes work on high-profile infrastructure projects, further strengthening the firm’s capabilities.
The addition of Shaun and Rachel, with their specialised focus on arbitration and construction law, will greatly strengthen LAW Partnership’s Dispute Resolution and Arbitration practice group.
