LAW Partnership Welcomes Dato’ Fredrick Nicholas as Consultant to Strengthen Employment and Industrial Relations Practice Group

KUALA LUMPUR, 31 July 2023 – LAW Partnership (LAW) proudly announces the expansion of its capabilities with the addition of Dato’ Fredrick Nicholas (DSPN., PMP) as its Consultant effective July 2023.

Dato’ Fredrick Nicholas brings to LAW Partnership a wealth of experience garnered from an illustrious legal career that spans both public and private sectors. His journey began as a judicial officer in the esteemed Judicial and Legal Services of Malaysia. Excelling in various roles, including serving as a Magistrate and later as a Deputy Public Prosecutor, Dato’ Fredrick’s expertise was recognised when he assumed the pivotal position of Head of the Prosecution Unit in Malacca until August 1991.

In September 1991, Dato’ Fredrick transitioned to private legal practice, as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. He further distinguished himself as the Chairman of the Industrial Court of Malaysia and subsequently as a High Court Judge in the civil division in the Republic of Fiji. Dato’ Fredrick’s judicial journey continued as he assumed the role of Judicial Commissioner at the High Court of Malaya at Johor Bahru in November 2019, where he served with distinction until his retirement two years later.

Dato’ Fredrick’s alignment with the firm significantly bolsters the capabilities of the firm. His proficiency in employment matters will also complement the existing team, enabling the firm to provide an even more comprehensive range of services to clients, covering both contentious and non-contentious employment issues.

LAW Partnership’s Employment and Industrial Relations practice group growth was driven by the leadership of Partner Nimisha Jaya Gobi, whose contributions have been instrumental in its success, evident from the diverse clientele and intricate cases it handles.
